Your sky does not fit into a single label
Maybe you've known your sun sign forever, but you never felt like that description told your whole story. A birth chart broadens the view: it brings together the position of the Sun, the Moon and the planets for your place and time of birth. The result is a map with several layers, not a list of traits that you must meet.
In Astral Code you can travel through that map at your own pace. Start with the three main positions, touch a planet on the wheel and open your reading. Then look at their astrological houses and aspects: relationships appear there that an isolated description cannot show.
To start you only need your date of birth. As you continue, our mascot accompanies you on a tour where you complete the time and place, your experience with astrology and the topics you want to explore. Your first reading preserves that context and you can go deeper later from My Chart.
What does your free astrological chart include?
You receive Sun, Moon and Ascendant; positions with degrees and retrograde movement; twelve astrological houses when you know the time; an expandable wheel and an aspect matrix. The reading is organized by planet, with specific questions to lead it to your own experience. We also show the distribution of elements and modalities.
You don't need a card or an account to get this first map. You can save a postcard with your Big Three or create a shareable link. That link does not show your date, time or place of birth. Saving a private profile is a separate step and requires your consent.
The three data that change precision
The date places the planets within their cycles. The time allows you to calculate the horizon and astrological houses. The place provides coordinates and a historical time zone: writing “GMT−3” for any year is not equivalent to solving for the civil time used at birth.
Select the corresponding city, checking country and region when there are repeated names. We use real coordinates and IANA zones; The engine works with the instant converted to UTC. If the noted time falls on a time change that makes it ambiguous or non-existent, we ask to review it instead of choosing an arbitrary possibility.
How to read it without getting lost in symbols
First distinguishes function, style and scope. In astrological language, Venus represents a function linked to appreciation and affinity; its sign proposes a style; Your house places a sphere of experience. An aspect to Saturn adds another question about timing and commitments. No layer cancels out the others.
A simple practice: choose a position and write two scenes from your life. One in which the reading is close to you and another that contradicts it. That difference helps preserve context and avoids turning a symbol into a closed definition.
If you don't know your time
Check the unknown time option. We keep the positions as a reference for the day and omit Ascendant, Midheaven and astrological houses. The Moon can change sign within that date; that is why we indicate uncertainty. A reference noon is never presented as your natal time.
You can come back when you find a reliable record. We do not attempt to deduce the time from a personality description. Read what you can explore without birth time.

Planets, signs and astrological houses: three different questions
One of the most common confusions when starting out is using planet, sign and house as if they were synonyms. The planet describes a function: what part of the experience we are observing. The sign proposes a way to express it. The house locates a living area. If you add those three questions in that order, a complex combination can be transformed into a comprehensible sentence.
For example, Mercury is related to exchange, understanding and language. Your sign adds a style of approach; His house provides a setting in which to explore that function. If it appears in the third house, the focus can be on close learning and everyday conversations. In the ninth house, the question can be expanded to beliefs, studies or perspectives. No location measures intelligence or assigns a mandatory talent.
Aspects add relationships between functions. Mercury in contact with the Moon allows us to ask how thought and emotion accompany each other. With Saturn, you can open a reflection on criteria, demands and time to develop a response. First understand each function separately; Then observe what dialogue the relationship proposes. This way you avoid adding labels that seem to contradict each other without understanding what level each one is describing.
What the wheel shows you and how to navigate it
The wheel brings together several levels of calculation in one image. The zodiacal ring divides the ecliptic into twelve sectors. The planets are located by longitude and the aspects connect the positions that meet an angular relationship within the established range. The astrological houses add another distribution linked to the horizon of the place and the chosen system. Looking at everything together can be overwhelming; That is why it is advisable to explore one layer at a time.
Try starting with a personal planet. Tap its symbol, search for its name, and check the sign and degree. Then see if it has an assigned house and what aspects connect it with other positions. The written result allows you to contrast what you see on the wheel. A line within the drawing is not a path that you must follow: it represents a relationship between positions at the calculated instant.
The illustrated wheel that appears before completing the form is a visual resource for exploring the zodiac. The result of your calculation is different: its geometry is based on your data. Decorative animations never change the degrees, astrological houses, or aspects of that chart. By enlarging the map you can look at the details more comfortably, especially from your phone.
Elements and modalities without converting them into personality percentages
Fire, earth, air and water group symbolic styles: initiative and enthusiasm; concreteness and continuity; exchange and perspective; sensitivity and receptivity. The cardinal, fixed, and mutable modalities add another look at beginning, sustaining, and adapting. Each sign combines an element and a modality, so sharing an element does not make two signs equivalent.
Your chart summary counts positions to show a distribution. A high percentage of an element indicates how many of the planets considered are located in signs of that group. It doesn't mean that that percentage of your personality is a certain way. Nor does the absence of planets in an element turn into an emotional deficiency or a capacity that you cannot develop.
You can use that distribution as an invitation to observe contrasts. If you find a lot of energy associated with initiative, ask yourself what helps you sustain a process after you start. If you recognize a need for continuity, see what conditions make it possible to change without feeling like you lose your entire foundation. The answers appear in your experience, not in the graph alone.
An example of reading that preserves nuances
Imagine a chart with Sun in a fire sign, Moon in earth and Air Ascendant. The Sun can open up questions about expression and enthusiasm; the Moon, about stability and concrete care; the Ascendant, about curiosity and contact. It is not necessary to choose one of those voices as the true one. You may feel like starting something and, at the same time, need a plan that will allow you to do it calmly.
Take that combination to a scene: they propose a new project. One part is excited, another needs to know the times and another wants to discuss options. Reading is more useful if it helps you listen to the three needs than if it forces you to decide that you are impulsive, prudent, or sociable. The astrological houses and aspects would add context, but they would not replace what is actually happening.
Then look for a scene that doesn't fit. Perhaps you acted in an unexpected way because there was an urgency, a previous experience, or a material condition that the chart does not describe. Registering that difference is part of careful reading. A symbolic map does not have to explain each behavior to serve as a reflection tool.
How to save, share and return to your chart
You can browse the result without registering. If you decide to save it on the device, it is associated with that browser's storage; Changing your device or clearing your browser data may make it unavailable there. Creating a private profile in your account allows you to resume the experience from a personal space with your saved data and your consent.
Sharing has another purpose. A postcard with Sun, Moon and Ascendant shows a visual summary to chat or save. The public link does not include date, time or city of birth. Before sending it, check what it shows. If you want to keep the entire read intimate, you can keep it in your account without creating a share.
When you return, your birth chart will continue to represent the same birth. To look at a different date you need a cycle tool: personal transits, Solar Return or Lunar Return. This separation helps to understand what remains on the map and what changes with the sky at each moment.
Choose the right route
The free tool and extended products meet different needs. You can calculate first and decide later if you want to save the result or continue with another reading. This comparison avoids confusing access to the birth map with a subscription and allows you to choose without interrupting the initial exploration.

Frequently asked questions
Does the free birth chart require registration?
The initial calculation can be used without creating an account. Saving a profile to return to it from My Universe is a later decision. Check the notice next to the form before submitting your data and avoid including other people's information if you do not have permission to use it. Private reading and sharing serve different functions.
Can I calculate a chart for an old date?
Use the interval allowed by the form and review the limitations of the methodology. An older record may require more care with calendar time, locality, and available documentation. Don't enter a different date to get around a restriction: that would produce another map. If you detect a discrepancy, you can use the contact channel with an explanation of the problem.
Why do some positions not appear in my result?
Astrological angles and houses require a sufficiently reliable natal time. Other points also depend on the horizon and are omitted when that data is missing. Absence avoids presenting fictitious precision. Check the explanation of chart without a birth time before interpreting an incomplete result as a system error.
Does the interpretation predict what is going to happen to me?
It makes no guarantees about future events. Presents symbolic associations to ask questions about experiences and preferences. Calculated positions do not diagnose personality or substitute verifiable information. You can accept, qualify, or dismiss a reading without having to prove that you fit its descriptions.
How do I continue after getting the map?
Start with the table and compare their positions with the wheel. If the symbols are new to you, follow the guide how to read your chart. If you need to understand the meaning of the set before exploring details, see what is an astrological chart. You can move forward one question at a time and return to the result whenever you need to.
